Contact Linda Baumgarten at Colonial Williamsburg.  The textile gallery at the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum has drawers as you describe that hold small textile items for easier viewing by visitors.

Dear Listers~

I am looking for locking flat files with a secured plexi (?) sheet covering the drawers when open.
These would be installed in a gallery space, available for visitors to view the drawer contents.

If you have something similar or can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it !
Perhaps a vendor source ...?

   Kind regards,
