DC's most arresting new museum is hiring.

The National Museum of Crime and Punishment (NMCP) is a privately owned
attraction that will present the evolution of crime and punishment
throughout American history.  The NMCP will combine historic artifacts,
hands-on interactive stations, informative exhibits and displays,
multi-media presentations, skill-testing competitions and simulator
challenges to provide a one-of-a-kind experience.  The exhibits will be
coordinated and organized to enhance the overall experience while educating
guests about our nation's history of crime and punishment.

***Museum Floor Manager*

This critical position is responsible for supervising daily operations of
front line visitor services staff including exhibition staff and ticket
sellers.

Duties include:

·         Implementing and ensuring adherence to all established operational
policies and procedures while utilizing professional practices which support
the Museum's mission and goals; implement Museum policy within the framework
of overall NMCP mission and policy.

·         Through effective management of front-line staff, provide customer
service in a timely and responsive manner, assure the museum runs smoothly,
staffed adequately and morale is maintained.

·         Ensures that facility maintains a safe and clean environment for
the staff and guests.

·         Plans and implements guest service programs to maximize earned
income and customer satisfaction

·         Manages and directs sales and marketing staff including
recruitment, selection and development to achieve Company goals and
objectives.

·         Provides operational support for special events.

·         Manages and directs operations' activities and sets performance
goals accordingly.

·         Oversees quality control, sanitation and maintenance of guest
services operation and facilities.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

 High School Diploma (GED), Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
preferred.  Two plus years of progressively responsible experience working
directly with the public in a high-volume visitor experience site such as a
museum or science center, theme park, or other ertainment/hospitality venue
is required.

 Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.



Salary and Benefits:

$35,000 to $45,000, comensurate with experience.  Full benefits package
included.

Relocation expenses will not be paid, but consideration will be given to
out-of-area candidates.
