Hi All, I know this is a long dead conversation, but I have a follow up. Do any of you have language regarding getting rid of non-collection exhibition material. Specifically graphic panels, text rails, banners, etc. Storage is an issue, and we need to start discarding exhibition panels from old shows. Obviously there are many justifications (when would we ever rebuild an old show??), but the history in our institution has been to treat the items like they are publications and are therefore the official record of the exhibition. I am arguing that a detailed as-built script keyed to a graphic/artifact notebook or database is the real record and eliminate the need for the actual materials. Thoughts?
