SUMMER CAMP COUNSELORS NEEDED The University of Pennsylvania’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is currently seeking counselors for its summer camp, Anthropologists in the Making. The eight-week day camp (June 23–August 15, 2008) for children ages 7 to 13 will focus on a different topic each week, such as “Survival of the Fittest” and “Myths, Magic, and Motifs.” Positions are seasonal and contractual. Counselors report to the Summer Camp Director. Position Responsibilities: · Lead and/or assist small and large groups of campers in a multitude of activities such as gallery tours, art projects, games, treasure hunts, and performances · Foster a fun and positive learning environment by facilitating friendships and teamwork among campers and acting as a mentor Position Qualifications: · Enthusiasm and experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting · Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills · Competence in teaching, counseling, and administrative work · Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, initiative, and flexibility a must · College degree with background in education, anthropology, archaeology, history or art preferred · Must be available to work June 16–August 15, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (June 16–20 is an orientation week with reduced hours) To Apply: · Submit cover letter and resume to Erin Jensen, Summer Camp Director, at [log in to unmask] no later than March 28, 2008. ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
