Hi All,

I joined Second Life about 2 weeks ago and it is a bit scary at first! I've checked out quite a few SL museums and although "serene" and "tranquil" places, the image quality of the art work in there is pretty poor (probably deliberately!) and I hardly ever meet anyone! Does that equate to anyone else's experiences? Can anyone recommend some good SL museums (apart from the Spaceflight museum and Second Louvre).

Personally, I think the thing about Second Life is that it's one more avenue for reaching and connecting with people. What bothers me is the inaccessibility of SL for people with old computers, low bandwidth, or impaired vision. The same is true for flash, actually--I have never understood why it should be a substitute for web programming. We can't abandon accessibility, but it doesn't mean we can't also reach for what is possibly the future of web browsing or supplement basic text information with imaginative media.
