We've published and are in the process of publishing again and we do use grants to complete books and publish. You didn't say where you are...which also impacts...as the state you are in might have publishing grants ....or not.
If you have manuscripts prepared and you are ready to publish more than one book, you might be able to get a grant for more than one, but you will need price estimates from the printers. However, our experience has been that it is easier to get the grants by working on one book at a time.
