CURATOR OF DECORATIVE AND FOLK ART OF SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA & NORTHEAST
TENNESSEE is a full-time salaried position with benefits.  Its
responsibilities include management of a changing exhibition program,
decorative and folk arts collection, and historic house museum.  Focus
area is regional decorative arts and material culture. Specific areas of
work include conceptualization, organization, registration,
installation, and budgeting for 2-3 temporary exhibitions per year and
permanent installation in the Fields-Penn 1860 House Museum. William
King Regional Arts Center is located on twenty acres in the historic
town of Abingdon, Virginia. The main facility is considered
high-security and is a fully renovated 1913 high school building,
adapted to include security monitors and environmental controls.  The
museum serves a fourteen school-district area with educational
programming, and a larger regional audience is targeted as museum
exhibition visitors. A capital building program is planned for the near
