Hello all,
Our board is in the process of reviewing the
insurance carried by the institution. We are a small historical society
with two historic houses, a collection of approximately 10,000 objects, large
archival and library holdings and the largest collection of works by Arthur
Wesley Dow, an American painter and arts educator.
I was hoping that some of you might be willing to
share with us your policies and guidelines regarding insurance. We've
found some general information off of the NEMA and AAM websites but nothing
specific about policy coverage and limits.
Right now we have a General Liability and Property
Policy(which was described to me as a typical Homeowners Policy), Workers
Compensation Policy and a Directors and Officers Liability Policy with what we
think is a $1 Million liability and assessed value on the two houses and some of
the collection.
Any guidance would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks!
Katherine Chaison
