The Library of Virginia is pleased to announce two new exhibitions are open to the public. Never Built Virginia explores, through drawings, blueprints, and models, architectural projects that were proposed but never built in the commonwealth. Among the materials displayed are models of futuristic buildings proposed in the 1960s and the 1980s by Richmond architect Haigh Jamgochian. The exhibition is open through May 31, 2008. Treading the Boards: Celebrating the Barter and the Barksdale marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of Barter Theatre, in Abingdon, and highlights the recent donation of archival records of the Barksdale Theatre, in Hanover.

The Library of Virginia serves as the library agency of the state, the archival agency of the Commonwealth, and the reference library at the seat of government.  Located at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond, the Library is open Monday through Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm. Free parking is available.
