AMM CONFERENCE CALL FOR PROPOSALS DEADLINE - FRIDAY, JANUARY 18, 2008

This is a friendly reminder that session proposals for the 2008 AMM Conference, Meeting in the Middle, are due on Friday, January 18, 2008.  Yikes, that's next Friday!  We invite session proposals that examine different points of view, involve innovative and critical thinking, and provide new approaches to challenges in the museum field.  For your convenience, the RFP form is available on the AMM Web site at http://www.midwestmuseums.org.  A list of recommended topics is also available on the site.  If you need assistance selecting a topic or finding co-presenters or if you have questions about the conference or the RFP form, feel free to contact Brian Bray, AMM Executive Director, at [log in to unmask] or at 314-746-4557.

The 2008 Conference is scheduled for October 21-24 at the Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, MO.  AMM will partner with the Mountain-Plains Museum Association - it should be an exciting conference, Twice the Size and Twice the Fun!  In addition to excellent sessions and outstanding speakers, the conference will feature evening events at several museums in Kansas City, including The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, the National World War I Museum, the Toy and Miniature Museum, the American Jazz Museum, the Negro League Baseball Museum, and Union Station.  For more information about the conference, visit the AMM Web site at http://www.midwestmuseums.org.
