PROGRAM DIRECTOR Historic Locust Grove, Louisville, Kentucky Historic Locust Grove seeks a Program Director with creativity, energy, and a passion for history to work with the Executive Director, professional staff, and a large corps of enthusiastic and skilled volunteers. The Program Director is responsible for all aspects of educational and other interpretive programs and special events (scheduling, content, and evaluation), including school programs, summer camps, teacher outreach and training, and family and adult weekend and weekday programs. The Program Director recruits, trains, and supervises volunteer docents, costumed interpreters, and other volunteer staff, working with the Volunteer Steering Committee. The position requires an M. A. or equivalent experience in museum studies, history, or education, and educational or programming experience in a comparable position. Ability to work with all ages is essential. Some weekend work is required, flexible hours. Must have excellent time management and organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Competitive salary; health benefits.
