Hi, I'm an American but a recent graduate from the Art Gallery and Museum Studies M.A. program at The University of Manchester in Manchester, England. I took Digital Heritage when I was at school that dealt with everything you are asking about: narrative, interactivity, the parallels, the differences, the connections to a changing global interface. Here is the link to the School of Arts, Histories and Cultures and the Art History and Visual Studies department. On the left is a link to Digital Heritage, our blog, and the Centre for Museology. http://www.arts.manchester.ac.uk/subjectareas/arthistoryvisualstudies/ We started this blog that has since become a pivotal platform for discussion of this kind. It would be useful for your research. Kostas Aravanitis is the DH professor if you had more specific questions. I hope this helps and good luck with the research. If you'd like to speak with me as well, I'd be more than willing.
