If you search the web using the terms
toy cash registers
 
you will get many hits, although note -- most are now "electronic" style -- they show bar codes and prices on a screen and some also talk and beep!
I did not see one that had pop up numbers however I did not open all the hits.
Most are a decent size and seem sturdy
Price top up to about $70
