The Department of Art and Design at
The visual resources curator is responsible for the overall management
of the collection of approximately 100,000 slides and growing collection of 60,000+
digital images. The primary duty of the curator is creating art images for
teaching and faculty presentations. The curator is responsible for building the
new digital art image database, using the MDID software program developed by

The Department:
The Department of Art & Design has offered program of study in art
since 1911. Degrees offered are the BFA in Art with concentrations in 9 studio
areas, the BA in art education, art history, or studio art, the MA in art
education, art history, or studio art, and the MFA in studio art. ETSU is an
accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art
and Design (NASAD.) There are nearly 300 art majors and 20 graduate students
