Have you considered contacting AARP to see if they can include info in one of their many newsletters?  They frequently have special tidbits.

Contact the local senior centers and see what their organizers can tell you.  Perhaps you can post a flyer or two and or solicit volunteers.

Does your town have a volunteer center?  You could list volunteer opportunities there.

How about the local "throw away" newspaper?  Can you get a reporter to come and do a piece on it?

What about doing a talk at your local library to stir up interest?

Have you considered contacting your local AAA to see if they can include something in their activities newsletter?

Does your area have something like LA's ExperienceLA.com?  Perhaps you can have your organization feted and indicated you are looking for folks to come explore.

The US government produces a number of newsletters.  The Department of Education sends out one on educational resources; the Census and FirstGov newsletters frequently report other like info.  Have you considered contacting them? http://www.usa.gov/

Considering budget constrictions, could you have a Two-fer Tuesday?  Two admissions for the price of one?  It might increase long-term visitation.

Hello all,
Unlike most museums, the Mütter Museum attracts primarily younger audiences (under 35) – I have been challenged with increasing our numbers in the seniors demographic.  Does anyone have experience marketing to this group? Do you have any strategies that worked for you?  Is there a resource web site or publication for retirement community activity directors with whom we could list ourselves?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you!
