This question pertains not to archival correspondence, but rather to
current office mail.

Can anyone on the list recommend an off-the-shelf software for managing
and tracking incoming and outgoing correspondence and e-mail?

Currently we log congressional and customer correspondence using Microsoft
Access, because it's part of the Microsoft suite for which we have a site
license. But it's cumbersome, requires a lot of maintenance, and is not
particularly effective.

If there is a product tailor-made for managing correspondence and e-mail,
that can be used in a network environment, and you are well satisfied
with, please contact me off-list.

Thanks.
