The Upstate History Alliance
(Oneonta, NY) seeks an innovative full-time Executive Director to provide
leadership for constituent programs, with particular responsibility for building
and maintaining strategic relationships with NYSCA, MANY, NYCH and other
partners. The ED leads a small staff team to deliver a range of programs and
services. Successful candidate will maintain a balance of working in the
office, in the field, or from home as appropriate. Salary commensurate with

Qualifications

Leadership experience in non-profit
arena Track-record in management, budget development and sound fiscal
operations Ability to work
successfully with diverse groups of people Demonstrated success in grant
writing and fundraising Strong organizational and technological aptitude
Proven ability to build relationships with members and organizational partners
Success in motivating, directing, and retaining staff,
interns and volunteers Proficiency at
monitoring statewide and regional historical activities Contacts with a
diverse range of professionals and volunteers from historical societies, museums
and public history agencies Bachelors degree in a related field required
Masters degree preferred.
