The Upstate History Alliance (Oneonta, NY) seeks an innovative full-time Executive Director to provide leadership for constituent programs, with particular responsibility for building and maintaining strategic relationships with NYSCA, MANY, NYCH and other partners. The ED leads a small staff team to deliver a range of programs and services. Successful candidate will maintain a balance of working in the office, in the field, or from home as appropriate. Qualifications desired:

Leadership experience in non-profit arena . Track-record in management, budget development and sound fiscal operations .  Ability to work successfully with diverse groups of people . Demonstrated success in grant writing and fundraising . Strong organizational and technological aptitude . Proven ability to build relationships with members and organizational partners . Success in motivating, directing, and retaining staff, interns and volunteers . Proficiency at monitoring statewide and regional historical activities . Contacts with a diverse range of professionals and volunteers from historical societies, museums and public history agencies . Bachelors degree in a related field required . Master's degree preferred.
