The Third Annual History Symposium: “To Be a Child”

The Historical Society of Frederick County is hosting a scholarly symposium on childhood on September 14th from 9:00am to 3:15pm.  This program is presented in conjunction with the new exhibit, “To Be a Child,” which runs at The Museum of Frederick County History from June through November.  The symposium features several speakers who will present programs of various aspects on children’s history in the United States. Topics include: children in the Civil War, changing images of children in modern America, children’s clothing, and public policies towards children in 19th century America.
