My understanding is that there are official decks which are only available to select service members and "souvenir" or knock-off decks which would be more commonly available. I don't really know how you can tell the difference, but the souvenirs are not issued or authorized by the government. Nearly anything you can buy online isn't official. We have a "Most Wanted" deck in the collection but even that was a souvenir purchased by a service member in Iraq (if my memory serves me correctly). It's interesting for reference though. http://stripes.com/article.asp?section=104 <http://stripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=14311&archive=true> &article=14311&archive=true http://www.forbes.com/2003/04/25/cx_ah_0425cards.html <http://www.forbes.com/2003/04/25/cx_ah_0425cards.html> Kris Zickuhr Registrar Wisconsin Veterans Museum _____ From: Barbara Hass [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Monday, July 02, 2007 7:04 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [MUSEUM-L] A new deck of cards . .
