What I find disconcerting is the way so many of you seem to demean the people who differ from your "scientific" views.”

 

I agree.  I’m surprised that people who presumably have a background in art, history or anthropology take this attitude.  If this was a Native American or Egyptian creation myth would you have the same attitude?  I’m not a Christian but I’m surprised by the intolerance and disrespect.  Most of us serve the public and that includes people of all faiths and beliefs. 

 

If I ever have the chance I’ll go the museum, not because it reflects my beliefs but because I’m a student of culture.  EVERY museum, society and belief system (science included) tells their story with a slant, it’s just easier to see when it’s not your own.  At least they’re upfront and unapologetic about their message.
