We have recently come across two old medicine kits in our collection, late
1800s and early 1900s. We would like to keep the bottles, but not the
contents. Some of the bottles contain pills deteriorated beyond recognition
and some of them contain chemicals that are potentially dangerous. We would
like to know if anyone knows of proper disposal methods for arsenic,
strychnine, mercury, and other poisons, as well as narcotics like opium.
We appreciate your help. Thanks! :-)
