MPMA Awards recognize the best of MPMA Region’s creative 
and leadership efforts 
Mountain-Plains Museums Association is now accepting submissions for its 2007 
Annual Awards  The deadline for entries is April 30, 2007. 
Through these awards, MPMA celebrates the best and brightest of the region’s 
creative thinkers and leaders.   The MPMA awards honor excellence in 
leadership and cultivate the highest creative standards at the regional level for the 
museum community in MPMA region of ten states.  
MPMA Awards Committee is accepting nominations for the following awards: the 
Hugo G. Rodeck Award for Excellence, the Excellence in Publication Award, and 
the Museum Leadership Award.    
You may nominate yourself, a colleague or a friend as well as your own 
museum. 
SUBMISSION:  E-mailed or fax submissions must be followed by a mailed signed

AWARD CATEGORIES 
Hugo G. Rodeck Award for Excellence 
The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual member of MPMA who 
has contributed significant service to the museum field within the MPMA region 
and to MPMA.   It is given infrequently and only in recognition of long and 
very distinguished service.  Recipients are noted for their contributions to the 
field of state, provincial and local history, art, anthropology or natural 
history and are recognized nationally as leaders in the profession. 
Excellence in Publication Award  
The publication award recognizes an individual or institution in the MPMA 
region for outstanding work on an exhibit catalog dealing with a Mountain-Plains 
region-related topic.  
Museum Leadership Award  
The leadership award recognizes a MPMA member institution for its leadership 
or significant contribution to the museum field within the MPMA region.    


MPMA's Annual Conference in 2007 is in Fargo, North Dakota, September 
10-14th.  Come learn the latest trends in technology for Museums.  And hear phases 
like
