PHOTO ARCHIVIST
The Jewish Museum of Maryland, an accredited museum of history and culture, seeks a full-time
Photo Archivist to manage the JMM
photography collection of 100,000 images and serve as the Museum’s IT
coordinator. The Photo Archivist processes and catalogues photographs from the
Requirements: Degree in History, Jewish Studies, Museum Studies, Archival Science or related field, with knowledge of collections management, archival principles and practices, and digital media. BA required, MA preferred. Strong writing, oral, and computer skills. Ability to multi-task, work with Museum/Library databases, and handle complicated projects. Knowledge of American Jewish history and Hebrew or Yiddish desirable.
Salary: Salary in the low 30s (commensurate with experience) with 3 weeks of vacation plus paid holidays, medical and dental benefits, and 401(k).
