Art Advisor/Specialist For our internationally prominent corporate art advisory client we are seeking two Art Advisors/Specialists, one in Impressionism/Modernism and one in Contemporary Art. The successful candidates will assist the corporation's clients with all aspects of collecting activities, including acquisitions and collections management; maintain regular contact with art market sources and keep up-to-date with market activities, trends and related information; act as a representative for the company in the international art market; enable clients to utilize their collections as collateral; work with the company's lending officers to provide data on the art market as relates to such transactions; inspect all proposed collateral in terms of condition, significance, value and marketability; assist the marketing initiative in identifying art prospects; build relationships with major institutional clients; ensure external and internal compliance; other duties as necessary. The ideal applicants will have a BA in art history and at least 10 years experience in the commercial art market.
