This newly-created position provides key administrative support for donor relations and special events. This is a full-time position, with occasional evening work required. In collaboration with College leadership, the Development Associate helps to maintain and grow the list of prospects and annual donors, as well as to develop effective donor cultivation strategies. The Associate will be responsible for generating database reports, as well as tracking, following-up and acknowledging pledges and donations, assisting with prospect research (including foundations and corporations) and developing cultivation and solicitation plans. The Associate will also manage cultivation events and mailings. Qualifications: Previous fund-raising and event planning experience is required. Proficiency with Raiser's Edge, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet searching is also essential. The ideal candidate is detail- and customer-oriented, flexible, and eager to learn. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be highly organized, with a strong attention to detail and be able to manage a multitude of tasks with limited supervision.
