Dear Colleagues,
I would like to share with you information about the 19th Annual Exhibition
Competition; the deadline for entries is January 5,
2007. Winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting of the American
Association of Museums in Chicago in May 2007, and will receive national
recognition in the AAM publication Museum News. In addition, all entries
will be displayed at the Marketplace of Ideas.

The competition has recognized many important exhibitions over the past 18
years, and we look forward to continuing that tradition in Chicago. This
year, the organizers made several significant changes in the entry
guidelines, with the goal of making it easier and more attractive for you to
participate. Please take a moment to review the guidelines, and to share
this information with your colleagues in the field. If you would like to
nominate an exhibit that you feel shows great quality, relevance and should
be entered in the competition, please contact the competition coordinator
(Lindy Hankins, [log in to unmask], 617-823-9292).

The Exhibition Competition is jointly sponsored by four standing
professional committees of the American Association of Museums - the
National Association for Museum Exhibition (NAME), the Curators' Committee
(CurCom), the Committee on Audience Research and Evaluation (CARE) and the
Committee on Education (EdCom).

Sincerely,
Phyllis Rabineau
