Major Gifts Officer

The World Trade Center Memorial
Foundation has opened a search for a Major Gifts Officer to work as a member of
the development team towards raising $300 million in private support to construct
the Memorial and Museum.
Under the direction of the Vice
President of Development, the Major Gifts Officer will coordinate efforts to
raise major gifts in support of the Foundation. The successful candidate will
work closely with senior development staff and key volunteers in identifying,
cultivating, and soliciting individuals capable of major gifts between $25,000
and $250,000. He/she will serve as staff to appropriate committees as the
Foundation’s liaison as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have a
solid track record working with high-level leadership and donors with excellent
oral and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree required and at
least four years experience and demonstrated achievement in major gifts fund
raising, with capital campaign experience, is required. Writing samples will
be requested of all interview candidates as part of the prescreening process.
