Ashton Villa in Galveston, Texas did a Victorian funeral exhibit a little
while ago. I believe Jami Durham curated the exhibit.

The McFaddin-Ward House is currently showing the exhibit "Moving In," which

McFaddin Avenue in January 1907. Call 409-832-2134 for tour information.

Subject: Victorian Funeral customs

To prepare for an exhibit we are having on Victorian Funeral customs, I am
beginning to gather written resources and other information on artifacts
related to mourning. I am particularly interested in trivia; the origin of
horse feathers, the pall, etc. I have book like "A Victorian Celebration of
Death" and "American Material Culture" - I am interested in other sources
that anyone else who has completed an exhibit on this can recommend.
Thank you!
David
