I'm in the process of doing some brainstorming/groundwork for a new young professional group at my museum.  It's something I've been thinking about for awhile (since I am a young professional!), but with some institutional changes on the horizon, the time is ripe.

I've done some looking into other museum's programs and have noticed that most of them have specialized events, a specific membership level, and perhaps a fundraiser.  Here's my big question:  do you know of any yp groups that include a volunteer component?  If so, how is the group itself structured/organized?  Is it primarily staff run or run by a committee of the members?

I have a lot more questions than just these, but right now I'm really just trying to figure out who to talk to.

Thanks,
Melissa
