Hello Listers! We have an annual Halloween trick-or-treat event at our museum and "village" of historic houses. Support staff and volunteers decorate the houses in "spooky" but not scary themes. The curatorial staff is seeking to establish written guidelines for decorating in our historic buildings and around the artifacts exhibited there. Does anyone have written seasonal decorating guidelines they would be willing to share? Keep in mind that our support staff and volunteers tend to be more concerned with atmosphere than good curatorial procedures. (Hence the need for guidelines) Any suggestions would be appreciated. Our Halloween event is very popular and generates revenue as well as brings people to our site for the first time. (Hopefully they like what they see and return for a more educational and traditional visit) Kristine Dobbins Textile Curator Amherst Museum [log in to unmask] ========================================================= Important Subscriber Information: The Museum-L FAQ file is located at http://www.finalchapter.com/museum-l-faq/ .
