Listeros:

Back in the mid-1990s, as part of an exhibit on Mexico, we at the Mathers Museum at Indiana University put together a faux-mano/metate bin made of the local central Indiana limestone (I went out to a quarry mill and asked for some scraps). We also used as comparison my Hecho en Mexico Corona hand mill (with the bin covered in a mesh so inquiring fingers would not). The corn was feed corn from the local feed store.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] grinding corn

Does anyone have a mano and metate they let people use? What do you use
for corn? Popcorn, feed corn? I need a cheap source, and don't tell me
to grow it - the bunnies ate it all!
