I have a question for anyone who remembers the very early versions of Past Perfect.  Several years ago my predecessor purchased an older version of Past Perfect and began entering items as they came in.  Since I have been here I began a project with volunteers entering older objects.  The museum uses a simple numbering system (1, 2, 3,4,…9900, 9901, 9902,…10001, 10002, ect.) The problem I have run into is that the former curator started entering objects in around #9700 and now that my volunteer is up to #97 Past Perfect will not accept it.  Instead it says #97 exists already.  This also happens for #’s 98, 99, and 101.  I do not know why it will take 100.  I have thoroughly searched the object ID’s in the system and these numbers do not exist.

Does anyone know how I can get around this or, if I even can.  I tried calling tech support but my budget cannot afford the fees for their phone support.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.
