When I worked for the San Bernardino County Museum, the County had what they called a 9/80 schedule. That is, within a two week period you would work eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day. Under this schedule, you had a three day weekend every two weeks. People liked it because of that and by stretching the work day, they would miss morning or evening rush hour traffic or both--especially critical in southern California. Given today's traffic everywhere and the cost of gas, I would think that people would like a four-day workweek. I know that most of my days approach 10 hours anyway. The extra day off will probably keep them energized, too. Todd Bothel Executive Director Old Davie School Museum In a message dated 5/30/2006 4:40:57 P.M. This would not affect our museum's open hours. I would appreciate knowing if any of you are doing this and, if so, what were the reasons to go for a 4-day week.
