Museum Intern Fort Morgan Museum Fort Morgan, Colorado Summer 2006 (start date: June 19) 240 hours maximum stipend The Fort Morgan Museum is an AAM accredited museum on the eastern plains of Colorado that interprets the history of Fort Morgan, Morgan County, and the surrounding area. Focuses include Glenn Miller, Plains Indians, frontier military, irrigation, farming, and business. A town of a little over 10,000 people, Fort Morgan is the county seat of Morgan County. It is located approximately one hour from Denver and 45 minutes from Greeley. Duties may include: assisting Education Coordinator in summer camp program (June 26-30) assisting Curator in preparing artifacts for relocation and relocating objects developing and contributing lessons to the Museum's multi-disciplinary curriculum creating and updating exhibits Candidate should have a background in history, museum studies, and/or education/museum education.
