Exhibit Technician III (graphic designer/illustrator) 
Texas Parks and Wildlife, Austin, TX.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, a part of the Texas state government, is located in Austin, Texas. The State Parks Division is responsible for developing and maintaining the interior and exterior exhibits for the state park system.

General Description -The graphic designer is responsible to designing text panels, creating maps and other technical drawings for use in the exhibits in a Macintosh environment. The designer will work on a team of content and design developers, artists and artisans. The designer will be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Additionally the designer will contract for production of exhibition components and outside artistic services.

Working Conditions - May be required to work occasionally other than 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F. Some overnight travel is required. TPWD is a smoke free environment.

Education - Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate Degree or graduation from a licensed technical college or program with major course work in Commercial Art, Graphic Design, Fine Art, Communications, Museum Studies or related field. BA or BFA preferred.

Experience - Five years experience in graphic design and illustration for exhibitions. Experience with large-scale graphics is a plus.
