I am part of a group planning a session for AAM 2007 in Chicago. This session will focus on professional (museum) networking and we are looking for networking groups that serve at the local (i.e. city or county) level. We would like to contact these groups both to include on a resource list and as potential speakers.

Our session will examine how to start and to sustain a networking group and we want to represent different models as well as different disciplines. For example we are aware of a group targeting exhibit professionals in Chicago and an educator's group in Boston. The Chicago group is very grass-roots with no formal dues or membership structure while the Boston group collects a membership fee.

If you are a member of, or know about, any local-level museum networking groups (NOT the State, Regional, or Nation associations) please forward any contact information to me at the address below.

If members of any non-USA groups would like to be included in our resource list, I would be happy to consider you as well. If you are from a non-USA group and plan to attend AAM 2007, let me know so we can explore the possibility of including you as a speaker.
