Hi Tanya,

Is this sign visible to people on the street, on their way into the museum, or only after they've made eye contact with the reception staff?

One thing to consider - wherever this is - is that Deaf visitors, and visitors who find it difficult to converse in English may be using the sign as the primary source of information, rather than reception staff.

Cheers,

Pat

  Subject: Admission signs

Our institution is currently developing an admission sign for visitors at our front desk.  In developing this sign we have found ourselves asking what seems to be a silly question: what should be on an admission sign?  The obvious answer would be admission prices.  However, beyond that, should we include hours of operation, what’s included with admission, or group rates?

I extend this question to all of you:  what do you have on your admission sign?
