You might want to look at the National Park Service program at “Rosie the Riveter, Home front” National Historic Park located in Richmond California. http://www.nps.gov/rori/ The plan (the park is currently under development) is to have a National Park staffed interpretive center, to interpret non-park owned historic sites nearby related to the home front efforts during WWII. Sites include a portion of the former Kaiser ship yard that produced Liberty and Victory ships, one Victory ship (Red Oak Victory) a building used to prepare vehicles for shipment overseas (site of the interpretive center) along with housing developments, a hospital and a child care facility set up to support the workers. I believe a similar plan is used by the NPS to interpret women’s history, with information at http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/travel/pwwmh/index.htm Randy Hees Patterson House at Ardenwood Farm City of Fremont, CA
