Main, Tuscola, Illinois A solid foundation of financial support helps historical societies and museums preserve collections, present exhibits, and create educational programs. The Fundamentals of Fund Raising workshop will teach principles and techniques that museums and other cultural heritage organizations can use to build support. The workshop will cover: Seven Principles of Fund Raising Roles of Board Members, Volunteers, and Professional Staff Writing Good Grant Applications Drafting Effective Solicitation Letters Raising Money through Special Events Registration fee for the workshop is $25, which includes luncheon, coffee breaks, educational materials, and a tour of the museum.
