Erica, I used the type of audio play back you described some 8 years ago. Nothing fancy about it, but inexpensive, easy to record, and even easier to play back. I don't remember the name or vendor, but seem to recall it was a product used in supermarkets for promotional purposes. This area may be where to find more of this type of products. See below link for similar sound boxes (push button OR motion sensor) http://www.premiumvoiceservices.com/interactive.html Cheers, Remko Jansonius Collections and Archives Manager Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Miami, FL _____ From: Museum discussion list [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Thursday, March 02, 2006 12:51 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: recording boxes? Hello, folks, I'm flummoxed on something and I hope you can help me. We're setting up an exhibit on a shoestring budget and we want to use several sound boxes - something small where you can record onto it (about 15-30 seconds) and then visitors will push the button and listen to a sound clip. I have been scouring the internet to find one of these things in the $15-$35 range. I ordered what I thought would work, and it turned out to be some sort of strange motion-sensor thing, with no button, and not terribly well made to begin with. Any ideas? It seems like this is simple technology, so I must just be looking in the wrong places. Many thanks, Erica Erica S.
