Pest Management Learning Opportunity It’s a bird, it’s a plane, oh #$@#% it’s a moth! Historic Cherry Hill, in conjunction with Spicer Art Conservation, is considering offering a series of FREE Integrated Pest Management workshops in the next few years. Currently, we are gauging the need for such a workshop among the museum community. In the planning stage, the workshop would would cover a few major topics: --What is infestation, how do we recognize it? --Preventing infestation in your collection and what to do when infestation is found. --Pest abatement measures covered might include freezing, vacuuming, environmental modifications etc. --Prevention topics might include eliminating pest attractors, high-risk types of objects, climate and environmental concerns and other subjects. Does your institution have a need for a workshop of this type? If so, what specifically would you like to hear about? Let us know if you would consider attending a workshop like this -- Email or call Erin Crissman, Curator, Historic Cherry Hill to give your feedback about this important topic! Thanks!
