Merchant’s House Museum

 

Museum Administrator

Part-time Position, 3 days per week

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities.

 

Membership Program. Manages membership database (GiftWorks Fundraising Software); coordinates solicitations, acknowledgments, and renewals in conjunction with development staff.

 

Special Events.  Helps coordinate education programs, benefits, special events, and rentals that take place in the Museum. Takes reservations, assists in organizing and set up, prepares event reports.

 

Operations. Provides administrative support to the Executive Director in all aspects of daily office/museum operations, including maintaining databases; overseeing mailings; fielding phone calls and inquiries, maintaining office equipment and ordering supplies; filing; opening and closing the house for tours and programs, and special projects.

 

Qualifications.

Superior organizational and communication skills, high energy, and an extraordinary sense of humor. Microsoft computer savvy. Experience in museum administration preferred; experience with donor management software a plus.

 

Salary. 

Commensurate with experience.
