there is also a fuel based gel product which burns perfectly clean, and creates a very realistic fire. i am not sure of the manufacturer but i saw once that a company in toronto, ca. manufactured it, and sold it. its the best replica to burning logs i've ever seen.

Most any retail store that sells gas fireplaces and stoves nowadays can provide you with a wide range of "logs" in various sizes, shapes and colors, including ashes, coals, etc.
