Although I can’t really help with thematic ideas, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum offers a year-round overnight program on our WWII submarine.  It’s been very successful, and if you’re looking for some logistical info on doing overnight programs, you might find some useful info on our web site.  Check out www.wisconsinmaritime.org, then click on “Overnight Education Program” on the left.  You can find pricing info, chaperone requirements, our hold harmless agreement, etc.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] summer overnight camp ideas

Hello,

I am looking for some good overnight camp ideas for botanical gardens. Here are some specific questions I have:

1. What themes have you done in the past? What programs have you offered? What have always wished you could offer or do?

2. What did you charge for the overnight camp?

3. What chaperon requirements did you have?

4. To which age groups did you market which programs?

I appreciate the feed back.

-Josh
