Hi Joshua,
I coordinated two different overnight programs at a zoo a few years ago. The age ranges were 7-adult. We charged $25/person for one, and $40/person for the other. The participants in the $40/night program slept in the same building as the Gorillas and Orangutans. They arrived at 6 p.m. were promptly served a pizza w/salad dinner and then set out into the evening for a tour. The theme was . . .nocturnal animal adaptations and primate adaptations. The programs ended after breakfast (bagels, fruit and cereal) and a morning tour. Chaperone requirements were 1:10. Our largest audience for these programs were Girl Scout troops.
  Best Regards,

    Hello,

I am looking for some good overnight camp ideas for botanical gardens. Here are some specific questions I have:

  1. What themes have you done in the past? What programs have you offered? What have always wished you could offer or do?
  2. What did you charge for the overnight camp?
  3. What chaperon requirements did you have?
  4. To which age groups did you market which programs?

  I appreciate the feed back.
