The California State Parks Department had several historic furnishings reports prepared by Monterey District Historian Edna E. Kimbro, who passed away this year leaving a legacy of work on California's cultural history. Edna was remarkable in her thoroughness and dedication to authenticity, and awesome in her knowledge of furnishings from the 1700's Missions of California to 20th century furniture craftsmen. Please acknowledge any of her work appropriately, and send queries to [log in to unmask]; Steade Craigo may be able to direct your query, or put you in touch with the correct interpretive department.

Subject: historic furnishings reports: advice needed

Hello all,

I am faced with the daunting task of completing a historic furnishings report that was begun by my predecessor, and I am wondering if anyone had any advice for me. My specific concerns include the scope of the report, the amount of background material that has been included, and the accepted method of citation of sources in these reports. Anyone who can help, please contact me off-list. Thanks!
