CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS COORDINATOR
Full Time
The Petersen Automotive Museum currently seeks an outgoing, motivated self
starter who enjoys working with children to develop, organize and implement children’s
programs and services, including instruction of workshops and camps. A
part of the Education Department team, assists in establishing and improving
existing, as well as new, education programs for families and youth. The Children’s Program Coordinator is also
responsible for overseeing the operation of the Discovery
Center, the Museum’s interactive, hands-on children’s gallery, its
staff, and Birthday Party program. Excellent communication and customer service skills with
the ability to relate to both children and their parents/guardians essential. Bachelor’s
degree in education, child development, sociology, history, or museum studies
preferred with 2 years experience working in a museum or education setting
