What is a Poster Session and Why Present a Poster?
Postgraduate, research students and museum professionals are invited to submit a poster related to the themes of this conference. A poster presentation is an excellent platform to highlight your research, and make contacts with other academics and researchers in your field.
Each
person who presents a poster will have the opportunity to network and talk with
other delegates about your work during our poster session on the first day of
the conference (9th February from
4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.). You will stand by your poster and have informal
discussions with others, which will help to raise your personal profile across
the academic community and promote your research project. Above all the best
presentation, as voted by the keynote speakers, will receive a prize.
Who Can Give a Poster?
· PhD students – posters can focus on theory, research methodologies, field work, preliminary results or your research conclusions. This means that students at any point during their thesis can present their ideas or research outcomes.
· Other postgraduate students – who are involved in research projects.
· Museum professionals – who want to highlight research happening within their museum.
