"Appropriate" attire and "Professional" attire can be two entirely different things in the museum world. We have a wide range of activities that go on here - often jeans and boots make more sense than a suit. Is the intern inside all day in a climate-controlled building, or out and about on the grounds? Working with children down on the floor? Cleaning artifacts? Typing? Shovelling hay?

For interns, watch the budget. Washable is good. Dry-cleanable is a problem.
